    The World Association of Chefs' Societies, or Worldchefs in short, is a global network of chefs associations first founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. At that first congress there were 65 delegates from 17 countries, representing 36 national and international associations, and the venerable August Escoffier was named the first Honorary President of Worldchefs.

    Today, this global body has 100 official chefs associations as members that represent over 10 million professional chefs worldwide. The biennial congress is a hallmark tradition of Worldchefs and has been organised in over 20 cities across the world throughout its illustrious 82-year history.

    HOTREC represents the hotel, restaurant and café industry at European level. This industry includes around 1,8 million businesses, of which 99% are small and medium sized enterprises (91% of them micro enterprises, i.e. employing fewer
    than 10 people). These businesses make up some 59% of industry value added. The hospitality industry provides some 10.2 million jobs in the EU alone. Together with the other tourism industries, the sector is one of the largest industries 
    in Europe. HOTREC brings together 42 national associations representing the sector in 27 different European countries

    Association of Waiters of the Czech Republic is a voluntary institution, any professional employee in gastronomy is allowed to become a member by filling the application form. The aim of the association is to explore and amplify new trends and concepts in professional gastronomy.

    The Association was established registration statutes of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic (17. 7. 2000) and became a legal entity.

    Czech Association of Sommeliers was established 1997, and gather professional sommeliers as well as other gastronomy experts, wine lovers and industry educational facilities. Moreover at 1998 became a part of International Association of Sommeliers.

    Association is taking very active part and organize an annual training seminars, tastings as well as other events in cooperation with its partners. In addition to this Association organizes educational program ‘Sommelier Certificate’ for hospitality educational facilities in the Czech Republic and providing consultancy services.

    Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of the Czech Republic its voluntary nonpolitical organization was established in 1990. Association brings together primarily chefs and pastry chefs working in hotels and restaurants, as well as vocational teachers, students and other professionals and companies from the industry. The AKC (Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs) is currently having eight regional offices, over 800 chefs and confectioners from across the Czech Republic. This modern community based on a historical tradition, dealing with gastronomy and in its wider context and supports all forms of cooperation that lead to the achievement of its main objectives. Among other things, organizes for its members as well as public gastronomic events - lectures, educational seminars, trainings and competitions with local as well as international participation, exhibitions and other cultural events.
    One of the major events organized by AKC is competition called Chef of the Year, Confectioner of the Year, etc. National teams - junior and senior - and regional teams AKC CR successfully participate regularly in international culinary and pastry competitions and a global evaluations.

    AKC CR is a member of the International Association of WORLDCHEFS - the World Association of Culinary Associations.

    TURKISH HOTELS ASSSOCIATION (TUROB) was founded in 1971. Today, Hotels and Touristic venues registered by the Turkish Ministry of Tourism and Culture are the members of the Association.

     

    The main objectives of TUROB are:

    -              Solving the problems encountered by the tourism sector using scientific and practical methods.

    -              Creating a suitable environment for tourism that allows touristic establishments to grow in line with international standards.

    -              Representing its members both nationally and internationally.

    -              Developing coordination between its members and the other establishments of the tourism sector.

    -              Participating to local or international events  such as seminars, symposiums, congresses, fairs and exhibitions

    -              Preparing and publishing the promotion and publicity materials for both local and international markets.

    The IH&RA is the only international trade association exclusively devoted to promoting and defending the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide.     Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations (BAHA) is a union of Hotel Associations of the Balkan Countries: Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Albania, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of Romania, Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
    The Association’s name is: Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations – Ohrid.
    The abbreviated name is BAHA.
    BAHA is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization.
    BAHA’s goals and objectives are as follows:

    • promotion and development of hotels and  catering industry through introducing rules and standards in the operations;
    • enactment of and respect for the "Code of Professional Conduct" and its harmonization with the European standards in this area (documents and directives of the European Union);
    • establishment and implementation of cooperation with international organizations and associations in the field of hotel and catering industry;
    • development of the Association’s cooperation with scientific and educational institutions, as well as entities in the branch;
    • representing the interests of Association members before the competent bodies in their respective country and abroad;
    • active participation in the enactment and improvement of legal regulations pertaining to the area;
    • organizing professional seminars and workshops at national and international level;
    • staff education and qualification;
    • other common issues.

     BAHA’s bodies are:

    The Board of Directors includes all the presidents of BAHA member states hotel associations.
    President’s and Vice-President’s terms of office are 6 months and shall take place in an order prescribed by the Establishment Act.

    The Slovak Association of Hotels and Restaurants (ZHR SR) is the most forceful association of hospitality experts, the voice of hotel and restaurant industry in Slovakia. We initiate and enter proceedings in developing Acts and Regulations.  We force the aims of our members to become reality by developing relations with national and regional Civil services. As a full member of EuropeanTRADE  association of hotels, restaurants and cafes HOTREC we have the opportunity to influence the situation and legislation in Europe content and to benefit from other member's experiences.     Was formed with the participation of 17 hotel March 30, 1968 - the Hungarian tourism and hospitality professional association defining one. Current membership exceeds 500. It includes nearly 400 hotels, about 35,000 hotel rooms - which is about the national hotel capacity. 

     

    The aim of Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association is to establish favorable hotel and hospitality industry businesses operating in a non-political professional and advocacy, lobbying to ensure that enterprises operating in the sector is an economic and regulatory environment in which the above helps to enhance the quality of hotel operations and development. We are convinced that tourism - and including - the hotel industry and catering businesses success, promotes the international competitiveness of the sector strengthening, and will contribute to the success of the Hungarian economy is through state and local tax payments as employment.

    Chamber of COMMERCE  of the Polish HOTEL Industry (IGHP) represents hotel and catering business community in dealing with the state administration at the local, regional, national and EU level. IGHP lobbies for a creation of favorable environment to reach a significant development of the economic life, particularly in the hotel and catering sector. IGHP also strongly supports all businessinitiatives of its members. It has been actively involved in legal regulations related to the hotel and catering area of business activities. 

    IGHP has an unquestionable contribution to the implementation and propagating of ethical rules in business relationship. The priorities of IGHP can be successfully achieved thanks to delegating its representatives to participate in the work sessions of advisory and consultative bodies operating at the state administration and Polish Parliament and working out the solutions for economic development, stressing the importance of the hotel and catering sector. 
    Besides the statutory activities IGHP also provides with:

    • promotional activities for the benefit of its members
    • arrangements of the events and incentives for hoteliers and restaurateurs to integrate all the participants
    • recommendations for theHOTELS AND  their suppliers

    • patronage above all the initiatives, events and fairs to promote the development of the hospitalitysector
    • maintaining and strengthening the relationship with domestic and foreign partners
    • preventing unfair competition in hospitality services thanks to strict cooperation with EU institutions
    • monitoring the EU law and its direct impact for the sector of the hotels and catering (with the undoubted help of HOTREC, IGHP has become a member starting on January 1st, 2015)

    The Association of Social Responsibility (A-CSR) is the biggest association for CSR and sustainable business in Czech Republic. A-CSR has about 130 members across the sectors and other members keep coming (IKEA, T-Mobile, AXA, Mattoni, Bernard, ZOOT, Kofola, Mandarin Oriental Prague, M.C. TRITON etc.) and since 2015 is the host entity of the Global Compact Network Czech Republic. 

    A-CSR involves all sectors of society – firms, public administration, non-governmental organizations, social entrepreneurships, schools and individuals in the issue of CSR. Bringing new ideas suggestions and impulses, is an independent and open platform, which connects all those who perceive CSR in a wider context.
